2023 Educational Scholarship Awardees Announced

We are thrilled to announce the 2023 Moebius Syndrome Foundation Educational Scholarship recipients! These deserving students all have a bright future, and we are grateful that we could award them for their hard work. Because of extremely generous donors, we were able to increase our scholarship awards to EIGHT students in the amounts of $3,000 each. Thank you to our supporters for making this possible.

Congratulations to the following:

Haley Brang, Citrus Community College

“Being chosen to receive this scholarship means the world to me and I am beyond grateful to those who have made this possible. With this money, I can fulfill my dream of studying abroad to gain life experience while working towards earning my degree.” Haley is majoring in Journalism.

Natalee Brenner, University of Hartford

“Thank you for selecting me as a recipient of the 2023 Moebius Syndrome Foundation Educational Scholarship. Your support will help me get one step closer to obtaining a special education teaching certification. Just as I want to provide my students the opportunity to pursue their dreams, this award is going to help me achieve mine.” Natalee is majoring in Early Childhood Education.

Ronald Edmund, University of Maryland College Park

“Thank you for this opportunity. I am very honored to be selected as a recipient of the 2023 MSF Educational Scholarship. Winning this award supports my pursuit to further my education and realize my dream of helping businesses have a positive impact on society while achieving their desired outcomes.” Ronald is majoring in Data Analyst/Cyber Security.

Jessica Maher, University of South Florida

“Earning this scholarship provides me with the funds to continue my education to be a teacher. I’m so thankful and honored to receive this opportunity to start the next school year with no new student loans, as well as focus on the thing that matters most, my education. This is one stepping stone to help me achieve my goals of becoming a teacher and earning my doctorate degree.” Jessica is majoring in Social Science Education.

Sara Michell, The George Washington University

“Thank you so much for selecting me as one of the recipients for the scholarship! I feel so grateful to be awarded the Moebius Syndrome Foundation Educational Scholarship. Winning this award will help me so much as I work towards my goal of becoming a medical laboratory scientist! I am excited to pursue a career in the health sciences and receiving this award will help me achieve my career goal even more! Thank you!” Sara is majoring in Medical Laboratory Science.

Rance Miller, Butler Community College

 “I want to thank those who gave me this scholarship and enhanced my opportunity for further education. It means a lot to me and I will do my best to use it as best I can.” Rance is majoring in Agribusiness.

Melody Perez, Thompson M-TEC

“I’m extremely happy to be getting this scholarship! Thank you so much for helping, it feels great to know the Moebius Board believes in me! Without your help, it wouldn’t have been possible. So again, thank you from the bottom of my heart!” Melody is studying to be a Veterinary Assistant.

Khaleb Phillips, Fayetteville State University

“I am very honored to be awarded this scholarship. Starting a new journey in college is exciting, and this scholarship will make my life a little easier. Thank you to our donors, and thank you to the Moebius Syndrome Foundation.” Khaleb is majoring in Computer Science.
