A few weeks back I was speaking with someone and they mentioned that members of the Moebius community want to raise awareness of the condition and that some have done a really good job of working with their local schools, government representatives and media.
My background is in public relations/communications but also in advocacy, so my ears perked up. After a lot of planning, we are proud to announce the Moebius Syndrome Foundation Champion™ Program. For those that are interested, we will be providing training and tools for you to be a Champion in your community.
Be creative and launch your own project — or we can help you come up with ideas! The toolkit will include sample social media ideas, press releases, template letters for all audiences, tips for contacting the media, how to handle a media interview, talking points….and much more. Take a look at the Moebius Syndrome Foundation Champion webpage and see if you’re interested. If you are, fill out the form and we will be in touch with more information.
We’ll be up and running soon so for those who want to plan a 2016 Moebius Syndrome Awareness Day event, you’ll be ready!
