The Moebius Syndrome Foundation is excited to open a community-wide call for nominations and applications to its volunteer Board of Directors.
The Moebius Syndrome Foundation will accept applications to join the Board of Directors beginning August 1, 2024 and ending October 15, 2024.
To learn more about the duties of a board member and to submit inquiries, please first read this letter outlining the role of our Board of Directors.
Requirements for the Moebius Syndrome Foundation Board of Directors include:
- You must be age 21+ and reside in the United States
- Meeting Attendance: The Moebius Syndrome Foundation Board of Directors meets quarterly for virtual full-Board meetings. It is mandatory to attend at least three out of the four meetings each year, and volunteer on committees that may meet as often as once a month. Most meetings take place between 5:00 PM Pacific / 8:00 PM Eastern, Monday – Thursday.
- Financial Contribution: Board members are expected to contribute financially to the organization each year, but are only expected to contribute what they can comfortably afford. Whether this is $10 or $10,000, the amount is not important, but rather the intent.
- In-Person Meetings: Attend the Moebius Syndrome Foundation biennial conferences in-person, and travel to in-person board meetings on off conference years.
