The Moebius Syndrome Foundation Scientific Research Symposium brings together researchers from across the globe. It is a full-day event which serves as the catalyst for the collaborative work and moves us closer to finding the clinical characteristics of Moebius syndrome. If you are currently conducting research related to Moebius syndrome and would like to attend the symposium, please contact Vicki McCarrell at vicki@moebiussyndrome.org and request an invitation.

Inaugural Scientific Conference on Moebius Syndrome: 2007
In 2007, the Moebius Syndrome Foundation hosted the first Moebius Syndrome Foundation Scientific Conference which brought together 32 researchers and physicians from 9 countries. For two days the attendees presented their work on the genetics and treatment of the various aspects of Moebius Syndrome, followed by discussions and agreement to work together to unravel the mystery of the cause(s) of Moebius Syndrome.
The conference was funded by the Friends of NIDCR, the Moebius Syndrome Foundation and a grant from four institutes of the National Institutes of Health, including the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS), the NIH Office of Rare Diseases (ORD), and the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research (NIDCR).
